At our neighbourhood centre, The DEN, we provide a safe venue for a variety of programs designed to engage and educate children, families and adults from the local community. We seek to promote learning activities and friendships, support minority and vulnerable groups, and assist families in building networks and accessing local support services. On any given day you can see the nursery children engaging in all types of play including sensory play, music time, story time and more. Every day provides a brand new, exciting adventure for our babies to support their development, learning and wellbeing. I had to follow up via call after pickup the day of and was told they "had no idea" and they'd "follow up" and call me back. After a week of no contact from the centre I sent an email regarding unenrolling my child as I felt his health and safety were not concerning to them and felt as though they were sweeping it all under the rug. Only to organise a phone call for a half-assed apology and no responsibility. Thankyou Karen for neglecting my child and accepting no accountability. When you’re getting ready to start child care, you can help your child overcome anxieties by visiting the child care service together for a Stay and Play session, and easing into new routines at home.
