We are so blessed to have been a part of Good Start Pakenham.Highly recommend. On average, the cost of child care in Pakenham is $149 per day. This breaks down to $149 per day for babies, $154 per day for toddlers and $146 per day for kindergarten. We've found 7 family day care centres in Pakenham, with 6 having vacancies for your little one. Whether it’s a one-off issue or requires ongoing care, talk to your teachers if your child is on regular medication or has food allergies or intolerances. The team is there to support your family, and the more you can tell them, the better they can help.
We pay the some of the highest fees in the area, all this so they can make even more money. They have now confirmed that the reduced hours will not see a reduction in the fee they charge. The high turnover kindergarten funding victoria of staff and telling departing employees not to tell families is also a very strange practice. My both boys attend this centre and i know every educator, centre manager and the whole management team there. As a mother i have numerous concerns and queries but gaya and her team always makes sure to answer them and attend to my issues urgently. We tailor our educational curriculums, menus, and programs to reflect the needs and cultures of our communities, creating safe, respectful spaces for every child and family.

Watching your daughter grow, find her voice, and light up with excitement for learning is exactly why we do what we do. Our team takes great care to get to know each child’s unique personality and help them thrive in their own way. We’re so grateful to be part of her journey and to have such supportive families like yours in our community. I feel confident leaving my child there each day, knowing she’s being cared for, nurtured, and supported in her learning. The educators take such great care in getting to know each child and their individual interests, and it really shows.
Over the years my daughter has gone from a very shy, child. To a child now that is a chatterbox with lots of confidence. Thank you for being a wonderful safe environment for my daughter to growin.
Disappointing Experience  with YMCA Childcare Centre-PakenhamWe had a very disappointing experience with this centre. We drove all the way from the West for a scheduled tour for Kinder 3 in 2026, which was confirmed by the centre staff themselves. Unfortunately, due to heavy traffic and rain, we arrived around 20 minutes late.Upon arrival, we were not accommodated at all.

Your child will be welcomed by our team of educators, who will ensure the morning transition from home to centre goes as smoothly as possible. On arrival, share information about your child’s specific needs for the day. We create a sense of belonging for your child, ensuring they feel heard and empowered to make choices, fostering their independence.
The educators are lifelong learners, participating in regular and ongoing professional development to enhance their skills. They are encouraged to upskill, learning about the latest research and thinking in the sector. They can then bring this knowledge back to the centre to share with their colleagues for the benefit of the children. The curriculum involves different types of learning experiences and styles.

Your child could also be eligible for up to 15 hours per week at no cost, thanks to the Victorian Government’s “Free Kinder” Program. As part of the Story House Early Learning STRONG Beginnings curriculum, we believe learning continues beyond the classroom. That’s why we offer thoughtfully designed take-home resources for families, supporting each child’s development through fun, engaging activities. They want to learn and explore, which is why we teach through play-based learning. It supports language, motor skills, memory, emotions and social relationships. Educators plan play-based learning experiences based on children’s interests and goals.

Their initiative and care really stood out. What I truly appreciate is how this centre sees and supports each child as an individual. We aim to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment, from the moment you book a tour with us, through to enrolment and when your child starts care. We have an open-door policy and welcome your input and feedback, as this is important to us and helps form collaborative relationships, between you and the community. This also helps us to provide an environment that is supportive to all children, families, and educators. I believe that it takes a village to raise a child, and we are part of that village.
