I am very passionate about sustainability, mental health and wellbeing, safety and community involvement just to name a few, which I hope to share with you all. Located in the foyer is an artwork by Wurundjeri and Dja Dja Wurrung artist Samantha Richards. Titled Sharing Country, the painting welcomes visitors to the hub with its vibrant colours and pays homage to the local environment. Our Early Learning Centre also has 3 years and 4 years old kindergarten 5 days a week.
We pay our respects to the longest living culture and their Elders past, present and emerging. The Nursery team bentleigh east daycare are eager to share information about your baby’s day and their learning, preparing you and your baby for a smooth transition to your evening. Our planned indoor and outdoor nursery experiences continue with the chance for movement, games and more books and songs, with an afternoon snack provided. Your baby’s lunch times will suit their needs, and with our open-door policy, families are welcome to enjoy lunch/bottle time with your baby. Seven of Goodstart’s award-winning team members have returned from an international ‘Discovering Next Practice’ professional learning experience in New Zealand. We pride ourselves on our multicultural community, which includes children, families, and educators from over 33 countries, and we celebrate a wide range of cultures and traditions.

By combining a strong learning program, qualified educators and a safe, stimulating child care environment, we create meaningful learning experiences for your child every day. We have 48 purpose-built childcare and early learning centres across NSW, Victoria, Queensland and South Australia. Our early learning centres provide quality long day care for babies and toddlers, as well as Government-approved Kindergarten and Preschool programs. The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) is the curriculum used in all early childhood education and care services across Australia, including Victoria childcare centres.
Our specialist two-year program is committed to supporting your child as they prepare for big school. We focus on nurturing their confidence, making friends and social emotional growth while also supporting their abilities in reading, writing, counting, and thinking skills. Whether it’s building with blocks, practicing their first letters, or learning to share with friends, every experience is carefully designed to support your child’s development. Our early learning centre offers a Government-funded kindergarten program and long day care under the one roof. Our kindergarten teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.
The School will finalise enrolments at the end of July each calendar year. If places are still available, they will be offered based on residential proximity to the school. If you have a child starting in 2027, Prep Enrolments open on Monday, 20th April and all forms with the supporting documents must be submitted by Friday, 31st July, 2026.

The eleven Child Safe Standards, which came into effect on 1st July 2022, are compulsory minimum standards for all Victorian early childhood services and schools, to ensure they are well prepared to protect children from abuse and neglect. We believe that parents are their child’s first and most important teachers, our goal is to foster a trusting and respectful partnership between the ELC and families. We embrace the Reggio view that parents, family members, teachers all play vital roles in the educational journey, acknowledging that it takes a collective effort to nurture a child. Your child’s local school is determined on the basis of their permanent residential address. The enrolling in a school page can also help you to confirm your child’s address for enrolment. All Victorian government primary schools follow the statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline.
Our Kids Oakleigh South provides centre-based care for up to 50 approved spaces. I can assure you that I am devoted to improving children’s outcomes and my role with the team at Goodstart Oakleigh South, is to assist your child on their learning journey. Outside, a distinctive curved timber-lined roof reaches around to embrace a large, sheltering tree, creating a warm and playful connection to the landscape while providing a large area of sheltered outdoor space for children to play in.
These carefully curated spaces foster meaningful interactions between our children and Educators, promoting quality engagement and learning experiences. Our beautiful childcare centre in Oakleigh South, nurtures children as they learn, explore, and have fun with their friends  and Educators. With areas and classrooms created to stimulate and inspire specific age groups, your child will be engaged socially, mentally, and physically through activities and play relevant to their age and capabilities. Our Flying Start to School kindergarten program is lead by degree qualified Teachers in a long day care setting.

Our daily rates are all inclusive and have no additional charges for incursions / excursions or any of our learning programs. The rates shown are an estimate based on using Childcare Subsidy (CCS) subsidised hours. The CCS helps lower your out-of-pocket costs, with subsidy rates dependant on your individual family eligibility levels.
