While we understand that this can be inconvenient, Community Kids is committed to maintaining a healthy environment and reducing the risk of infection for all children. Starting child care is a big milestone, and a little preparation can help your child feel more comfortable and confident.

Attending Kindergarten at G8 Education centres means your child will benefit from our enhanced learning program that combines play-based long daycare with the VIC Government funded Kindergarten. These opportunities ensure that both children and parents feel informed, supported, and well-equipped for this important milestone in their educational journey. We focus on nurturing problem-solving abilities, early literacy and numeracy skills, and scientific inquiry through interactive and play-based learning experiences. Families eligible for the Child Care Subsidy can now access a minimum of 3 days per week of subsidised early learning and care.

Some centres also provide sheets and formula, so you may not need to remember to pack them. To support children with additional needs or those learning English as an additional language, we create an inclusive environment shaped by collaboration with families, specialists, and support services. Our educators use visual aids, key word signing, consistent routines, and incorporate home languages and cultural practices to help every child feel secure, engaged, and empowered to learn. We use Individual Learning Plans to document each child’s unique journey from their very first day through to their last, ensuring their learning and development is tracked meaningfully over time. Families are closely involved in this process, with weekly team reflections helping us adapt the program to be inclusive, responsive, and reflective of each child’s evolving needs. In our nursery environment, educators focus on building strong, secure and respectful relationships so babies feel safe, settled and supported as they explore the world around them.

You will be provided with a list of all centres surrounding your desired location. The VIC Government will subsidise the 15 hours per week of free Kindergarten, which can be applied across 52 weeks. We are a sustainable early learning centre where each room is involved in composting, recycling, and caring for our resident turtles.
